Blog Tour Review: Undescribable by

by: Shantel Tessier

Samantha Hall needs a fresh start

Broken hearted and alone in a new city, Samantha begins to build a new life for herself while working as a bartender. Focusing on her new friends and rebuilding her broken life, Samantha is content.

Until she meets him – attorney by day and a cocky, foul mouth playboy by night.
All girls want Slade Long, but not one has ever been able to keep his attention for long. Having a different woman in his bed every night is how he prefers it-no emotion, no connection.

Until he meets her - an angel with the sweetest voice he has ever heard and the most enticing green eyes. Samantha makes him second guess his actions and has him wanting something he didn’t know existed. How can a man who has never been in love, be so sure? Can real love happen this fast?

Burned by her past, Samantha struggles to keep up with the overwhelming passion she feels for Slade. She knows that he will be nothing but trouble to her already fragile heart, but how long can she continue to deny the love that she feels for him?
Will Samantha let Slade prove his love is real, or will she push him away?

She thought she knew love……
He thought he never wanted love…..
Together they will show each other what they can’t live without.

Star Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Heat Rating: HOT!

Undescribable made me want my very own Slade!!  Very rarely do I enjoy the male lead character more than the female lead, but I fell hard for Slade and I spent most of the story wondering why he was putting up with Sam.

Shantel Tessier does an great job telling Slade and Sam's story using both of their point of views, it really helped me connect with the characters and delve into what they were thinking.   All of the characters in the book connect and interact with one another like family.  I really liked getting to know the secondary characters and really hope that Josh gets his own story soon!

Undescribable was easy to read, the dialogue was engaging and the sex was HOT!  This is another story about a player falling for the good girl, but it was interesting to see Slade "fall" and take the plunge into love.

While I enjoyed reading Undescribable it was a bit long and drawn out at times.  I wish I liked Sam's character more, I felt like she was making mountains out of molehills and her "drama" was a bit much for my taste.  I really liked Shantal's writing style, I just wanted more from the story than the daily updates on what they were wearing and what they were drinking (which was a a crazy ton).  I wanted to like Sam, but she just fell flat to me and I didn't understand what her problem was and then when we finally get to the good stuff the book ended abruptly.

Besides my issues with Sam, I am curious to see if Shantel will do more with the characters and let us see more of what happens next.  I really liked the the writing and will be on the look out for more books by Shantel Tessier in the future (I really want Josh's story and more Slade).   If you are looking for a story about a player that has dominant tendencies and falls hard into a relationship, then this sexy/hot book is worth the price of admission.
