Release Day Review & Giveaway: WORTH THE FIGHT by Vi Keeland

by: Vi Keeland

An Adult Contemporary novel

Release Date:  October 3, 2013

It didn’t matter that the ref called it a clean hit.  Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life.  A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half.  But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way.  Too many emotions are dangerous.  Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them.  But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common?  A lot more than they bargained for.

Star Rating: 5 stars!

Heat Rating: HOT HOT!

"Someday, someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else." -unknown

Vi Keeland's Worth the Fight walked into my life and I fear I may be ruined for all other books about fighters.  I knew I was a fan of Vi's writing from reading previous books of hers, but Worth the Fight had me fan-girling all over the place (I even emailed her) it was that good! Right from the beginning to the very end this book it was a solid 5 star read.  I could have read about Nico and Elle for chapters and chapters more and still never be tired of this book (I miss them).  This book was so good that after I finished I stared at my Kindle (which is FULL of amazing books waiting to be read) and I couldn't bring myself to read anything new, I wasn't ready to move on!

I have a thing for fighters in books, (it could be due to my slight obsession with The Rock) and I have read MANY books in this "fighter" category.  I just checked my Goodreads shelf and until Worth the Fight only two  fighter books have earned 5 stars (fromme).  Nico just KNOCKED OUT all the competition!  Hands down, Worth the Fight is my new MUST read fighter book!

Vi Keeland can write a damn good book!!  I burned dinner, stayed up too late and almost missed picking my kids up from school because I was completely invested and lost in this story.  I can't pin point why her writing is so amazing, it just is.  The story flows beautifully, it has wonderful pacing and the characters she creates are so realistically human that you forget you are reading fiction. I love when a book is so good you get lost in the words and start feeling what the characters are feeling and really connect to the emotions and words on an intimate level.  Vi Keeland has done this with Worth the Fight (and Belong to You and Made for You if you haven't read those two beauties).

Nico and Elle, I am not sure what to say but HOT!  My goodness the chemistry these two cooked up nearly melted my Kindle!  Nico and Elle are not perfect people. They both have issues they are dealing with from their pasts that have changed them and stalled their momentum in finding happiness. Their story was exactly what I look for in a great romance; two strong characters learning to accept love and fight for what they desire without destroying each other in the process.   This story was touching, romantic, sexy and addicting (with the perfect amount of drama to keep it real).  I can't say more without spoiling! I have edited this section too many times from over sharing so I am going to leave you with this promise: I promise this book is worth every penny.  This is a beautiful story that shows how one person that you meet by chance might just be the person you have been waiting for your whole life for and didn't know it because life sometimes gives us what we need, not necessarily what we think we want.

Go buy this book!!   I have a feeling we are going to be hearing about Nico "The Lady Killer" a LOT in the days and weeks to come, trust me, Worth the Fight is definitely a book you NEED to read and experience for yourself.
