HOT!

I read book #1 in the Art of D/s series (The Art of Submission) and for some reason I never got back to the series.  When I saw that Becoming Sir was a spin off I was excited, since I really enjoy the Art of D/s series but I wanted to see if you can read it as a stand alone.  You can read this by itself, it might even be best if you have never read any of the series before, (not just one of the three books) that way you aren't trying to piece together what you may have missed in previous books like I was doing for the first 15%.  However, having said it can be read as a stand alone, I really think to get the full impact of all the nuances of the story you need to read The Art of D/s series first, that way you know who all the players are first and what they have been through already.

Becoming Sir was an interesting take on your typical BDSM book, usually you are seeing the female or the submissive being trained, but now the tables are turned and the reader gets a look into what training a Master entails.  Sawyer, is testing the waters of BDSM and trying to find which "kink" fits him best as a Master and it was really fascinating to read all the ways one is "tested" or trained in the ways of BDSM (in this fictions world).

I enjoyed reading about Sawyer and Snowflake, I liked the build up but I felt like some of the stuff I really wanted to see wasn't as explicit as it could have been with this type of book.  I was expecting the "training" scenes to be more intense, not alluded too or skimmed over.   Even without this being as graphic as I thought it was going to be you do get a good story.  You get to see Sawyer evolve into the man he wants to be and we are with him during this very personal journey.  The relationships that are built and formed during Becoming Sir are really what this book is about, not the dirty/kinky stuff so I was pleased.  Ella Dominguez writes a great story that shows readers what it really takes to become a Master.

This is a must read for the fans of The Art of D/s series!

Meet the Author:

I'm a full-time mom, wifey, healthcare worker, and wanna be switch. I was born and raised in a sexually repressed, strict Christian household in the bible belt of the USA. This upbringing and repression contributed to my wicked imagination and writing has been my only outlet for my sexual fantasies. Finally at the ripe and sexually primed age of 40, I mustered up enough courage to share my naughty thoughts and put pen to paper. I sincerely hope to find my niche in writing erotica in all forms, be it romance or paranormal.

I don't consider myself an author. I consider myself an avid reader above all else, and someone who simply writes the stories that the characters in my head tell me to.
