Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither’s past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out—move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan.
But what Alayna didn’t figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He’s smart, rich, and gorgeous—the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson’s fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it.
Avoiding him isn’t an option after he offers a business proposition she can’t turn down and she’s drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull. When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she’s fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.
I have had Fixed on You in my Kindle since it was first released back in June 2013 (I know you buy books and let them sit in your Kindle too) but I never did pick this up to read until this blog tour. To be honest reading the synopsis I wasn't sure about reading another story about a hot, rich, alpha male and a heroine who was a stalker and then on top of that another trilogy. How silly of me to think that! What I thought would be the same cookie cutter start to a trilogy I was used to, wasn't. I was wrong! Laurelin Page took this type of story and breathed something fresh and different into it!
Fixed on You has something different about it that keeps you turning pages and wondering what will happen next. Laurelin Page has a great way of telling a story, I enjoyed her style and her pacing. Fixed on You has a bit of everything you want for a great story; interesting characters, a plot that keeps you on your toes, hot sex and a sweetness that ties it all together. I gobbled this up in one evening and was left completely happy. This is a first part to a trilogy but you can read the first book without wanting to tear your hair out at the ending (plus all three books are out now as a bundle so there is no waiting).
What originally put me off about this book turned out to be one of my favorite things. Alayna. Alayna has a problem with getting too attached, but what Laurelin Page does really well with this character is making her aware of her problem and actively working on getter over her "attachment" issues. It took a few chapters but I ended up really enjoying Alayna and her quirks and crazy/needy tendencies. Alayna knows better than to mix up with Hudson, but how could you resist a hot, rich man, that oozes sex appeal? Hudson, starts off as your typical rich jerk who thinks he can buy whatever he wants and get his way by being persistent, but as the story unfolds you see that there is more to him under the surface. Laurelin Page takes two broken characters and while putting them together should be a complete disaster, it makes sense. Hudson can understand Alayna's compulsions and Alayna is starting to understand that she isn't broken, she is getter better and can handle being in a relationship.
Fixed on You is an enjoyable read that has great passion, intensity and the drama that we all have come to love (without being over the top). If you are in the mood to try a book about a smart girl with issues and a rich alpha hero that thinks he is broken, then don't let Fixed on You sit on the shelf (or your Kindle), dive right in to the world of Hudson and Alayna!

MEET THE AUTHOR:
Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
