**Review & Giveaway** WHERE I BELONG (Alabama Summer #1) by J. Daniels

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

It is no secret that J. Daniels is my new Author crush and when she let me know her new book was coming out June 30th I asked to read it without even knowing what it was about!  Yep.  I dove into this book based purely on my love of J. Daniels.  Normally, reading a book without knowing about it doesn't end well for me (I can be picky) but Where I Belong was a great read, with an emotional story, hot scenes and fun new characters.  J. Daniels proved to me that if she writes it, I will read it (and enjoy it)!

Where I Belong is the first book in her new series Alabama Summer and while it is a New Adult book (with characters in their young 20's) that had some plot points in it that I usually avoid, I really enjoyed this book!  (Lesson I learned: If the writing is good I can get over my hang-ups in books).  One of my favorite things about J. Daniels' books is her writing style;  it is witty, engaging, and full of win!  I was hooked from chapter one and read Where I Belong in one sitting.  Where I Belong was special because the characters were unique an each offered something fun to the story.  I fell instantly for Ben and really enjoyed watching his character try to prove to Mia that he wasn't the same jerk from the past.  Mia was a great character, I just wish I knew a bit more about her character.  She was feisty, stubborn and struggled with what her mind and heart wanted.  It was fun to watch Mia and Ben overcome their past and see each other as the adults they grew into.

J. Daniels delivers a story that has some HEAT and emotion.  There was a lot going on in Where I Belong and I can't wait to continue with this series to see what happens next in not only Ben and Mia's relationship but with the funny and entertaining secondary characters.

If you have never read J. Daniels I HIGHLY recommend this author.  Where I Belong was a great story about a girl learning that you can't live in the past, you have to live in the now, even if that means falling for the boy you love to hate.  Whether you are looking for a great beach read, vacation book or new author to try you can't lose with J. Daniels!  Pick up Where I Belong (or Sweet Addiction) today and see what all my fuss is about (plus her books are only 99 pennies)!

I make my way down the hallway, pulling my wild bed head hair back out of my face. “Oh my Godddd, that smells amazing. I’m so hungry right now.” I stop dead in my tracks as the kitchen comes into view. Tessa is not the one cooking breakfast, and I suddenly want to hurl myself back into bed and go for round three with my favorite fingers. I bite back the shiver I feel run through me at the thought of doing just that.

Ben turns his head and hits me with a smile. “Good morning. What kind of eggs do you want?”

“What are you doing here?” I ask, crossing my arms over my chest and scowling in his direction. Damn it. Now I suddenly don’t just have a hankering for bacon. He's way too inviting this early in the morning.
Slight stubble. Check.
Hair sticking up a bit. Check.
Vagina awake and ready. Double check.

He’s looking very fuckable right now and it irritates me to no end.

He laughs softly and grabs a plate out of the cabinet. “This is my parent’s house. I eat breakfast here all the time.” He holds the plate of bacon out. “Want some?”

He stares at me unconvinced. “Did I not just hear you say you’re starving? And I know you want this bacon. We used to fight over the last piece all the time when you’d spend the night here.” He places the plate on the island that is already set for two people and begins whipping up some eggs in a bowl. “Scrambled okay?”

“You don’t know anything about me. Just because I used to like bacon, doesn’t mean I want it now.” I cross the room with an annoying scowl plastered on my face and open the fridge, pulling out the orange juice. “And I don’t want any eggs.”

“I know a lot about you,” he says, his voice dropping to a low rumbled tone. I can’t shake the way it ripples through my body, causing all my muscles to contract and my body temperature to spike. “Now sit down and let me feed you.”

I take a sip of my orange juice and walk over to the couch. “I told you. I don’t want any breakfast.” I begin flipping through the TV channels, trying to calm the hunger that is growing more and more persistent. I want that bacon.
And the man making it.
Shut up, vagina.
